xanax usually is prescribed for anxiety and sleeping disorders, that sort of stuff
usually when its sold on the streets (xandy bar etc other slang shit) people usually drink with it

i really do think i have social anxiety disorder...do normal doctors prescribe this or do i need to go to a pyschologist??

A dr. can prescribe it, my town has a bad drug problem (partly due to a lot of "drug doctors") and xanax is one of the most popular drugs we dispense)

What he gives you for "minor pain" really depends on the dr. Some dr's know the drug seeker game and will give you otc ibuprofen, or something non narcotic like tramadol or something similair. Others will gladly give you a script for lortab apap/codeine etc etc. It all depends on the doc.
