preorder incentives

OP, It would be hard for me to bite on a preorder from a brand new company simply because its an unproven product. Maybe on a second line of subs/amps after it has been proven that what you're selling is going to be worth the cost/wait. Unless the price is so low that its worth the gamble, I would wait around and see what the hype was. Id gladely spend a little extra later than just waste my money on an bad product from an unknown company. Just my opinion.

Nope, I completely understand I would be the same way, they'll prove their worth.

Thank you for your honesty

Sundown still does preorders...I would think they have the money to buy the products first by now. I think its more to get people to bite on the products and get the products out there so people can spread the word. Eveif they did "use your money", you get a nice discount on the product and get the product before others that do not preorder. Where is the harm in that???
No harm, just not something I support is all. And maybe he doesn't have the $$$ to front large orders, you never know. CA is not all that profitable like people think it is....

I don't do pre orders, I prefer companies who have the capital to buy their **** without using my money....
In most cases the build house is already paid before a Pre-order is held. No one I know of opens a Pre-Order with paying the distributor first. So I guess you just don't like to save money.

I can understand on some cases there most likely have been people to do preorders pre-build house payment.

Its been said many times that orders are already paid for before preorders open. I don't think these well known companies would gamble with other peoples money and risk losing everything. I'm sure they make a pretty nice profit even on preorders... add internet sells + b&m store sales.. may not be making millions, but I'm sure it pays the bills plus some for well established companies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well known or not ANY company established or upcoming should not gamble a valued customers money, without paying their distributor first. That's just asking for disaster. As far profit at the end of the day the companies do it to make money if they didn't they wouldn't be here.

Giving a product to just "Joe-Blow" does your potential customers no justice. You need someone with a respectable reputations amongst the forums and car audio world. Real world is testing is everything. How can you sell people a product that you or atleast a respectable car Audio enthusiast hasn't seen, touched, or tested? A lot of things go into this. Alot!

True that, like I said I'll be sending Mobile one, I'll talk to Taylorfade since he seems to be the goto guy for testing, I'll even send one out to you if you'd like G6 (This is when they come in of course, I'm obviously not opening a pre-order before distributor payment.)
