Prefabs

I know the general consensus is that prefabs are bad in almost all cases. But generally that applies to ported enclosures because they never give you the port dimensions or volume. What about the sealed boxes? Would they be alright if they are built to spec for a particular subwoofer? Only thing I can think of is possibly reseal the edges straight away just to make sure its air tight.

Any input?

I found 5/8" which should be plenty for a single 10" on an under rated 420@2 ohms I think. Ill be sure to seal the entire inside with liquid nails in the corners and around the terminal cup.

Im building for SQ, but I cant justify the $100+ price difference for a "custom" box with the same specs.
