anyone ever heard their newer line of subwoofers? i've heard the older flat subs. sounded nice, not overly loud. what about the newer subs?

I have... I had the DCX 122, unfortunatley I caught it on fire by putting a 1000 watts on it like it said it could handle...It can't handle 1000 watts...... Sounded good though, at least for a couple of hours.

Decent sub if you put only 500 watts to it.

That's great that you think that and it would have saved me another 400 dollars if it didn't catch on fire, but if you think that this is BS, I would love to ship this sub to you and you can see it and smell it for yourself.....

What about the new 10 and 12 PRO subs? Are they still as good as the subs they made 9-10 years ago? Or better? I'd love to get a pair of 12s.

They look nice, otherwise, I don't know. Our only local shop that carried Directed products stopped carrying them.
