Looking to try a new setup as I have had these for many a year with great SQ results.

1. PPI PC2400.2 class A amplifier in chrome, an underrated 100rmsx2@4ohms, 200rmsx2@2ohms, 400rmsx1@4ohms bridged. $200 shipped

what ohm are the xxx mids? how much power can they handle and how do they sound? i need something to keep up with my xxx's on 5krms
They are 2ohm, assuming they dont have custom coils. IIRC power handling is about 150watts recommended... but that vastly depends on your xover settings. If you run these as dedicated midbass, along side your comp set (that has a mid), you might have a chance of sort of keeping up with that sub stage. But still not likely.
I have two xxx's Im trying to build a front stage to keep up with. It consists of four 8" midbass, two 7" extreme efficiency midrange, plus horns. And I will still probably have to turn the subs down some.

Thanks for the info man, i decided to go with completly new comps tho. i have cdt hd 62's in the mail //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif otherwise i would have done the xxx mids as i always wanted some, but anyways FREE BUMP for OP

Look into dedicated midbass at some point. I doubt there's a standard comp set on the planet that could realistically keep up with dual xxx subs.
