PPI A600.2 ...All that?

Yeah so I'm sitting here on my fat *** looking at these three PPI A600.2 amps I've never even hooked up, in near mint condition, warranty stickers still in place, and I'm wondering if all the hype I've heard about how incredibly clean and smooth they sound would still hold true against today's newer shyza.

...or should I just ePay them?

I've got over a grand into the lot and was all gung-ho about building an entire loud SQ system but in a year I haven't got off my *** and done it.

They are so beautiful, but who wants old skool unless it kicks *** on new skewl?

Any opinions from anyone with first-hand experience with these would be, like, appreciated.

Anyway they are as smooth as they are said to be... Excelent SQ, great power. YOu can't go wwrong with them at all! Subs, mids highs... They do it all with gusto!

I heard these fry driving subs without running coolant through them but I didn't get the cooling kit - I was just gonna drive mids/highs components and use the third for rear surround.

I'm just so goddam lazy...

What about compared to real XPNSV shyza like Brax and audisson, etc... - Prolly not in their league

Yes, they do get hot because they have no cooling fans or vents. THat can be fixed by personal modification. If they have the cooling tubes in them, you can rig up your own cooling system...

Yeah, you know, there's so much newer and if I finally get off my butt and throw a system together I want it to sound, like, up-to-date and not be hearing, "Yeah, kewl, that would've been an awesome system, 8 YEARS AGO!"

I dunno maybe you're right and I should just do it.

I wasn't advertizing right now because that takes effort, I'm still in the figuring it all out stage and that hurts my brain enough for right now...

I am a HUGE fan of the Arts. I have had MANY over the years. I sold all mine about a year ago because I wanted new amps. I've been crying ever since. The old A/B design is a current nightmare, but if you have the power for them, use them. As to your comments on them frying, it was user error. I've driven mine far below the rated impedance and never had a single problem. I've used them in pretty much any configuration you could think of, and if I had some again, I'd NEVER let them go.

Thanks guys, I always hoped they would sound as bichin' as they look (I've got the White ones) but I've been staring at them now for over a year and I think I've been trying to talk myself out of them because they represent effort if I'm ever going to make them play.

But I bought them because a friend of my buddies nephew had some that someone said they heard were supposed to sound good according to someone they trusted... you know how it goes... every amp claims to be the perfect amp, and they all sound a little different so it's like, "Who's perfection?"

- I just wanna make sure they are worth the hassle of actually having to work.

I'll have to stop right here and say, BULLSH!T!! - because I and others can and have heard a difference, but I'll also have to say, "YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!" - because there are some (a lot?) of people who either can't or don't hear differences between amps and it's like a blind guy arguing with a sighted guy about the color of anything, the blind guy is gonna swear that whatever it is, it's BLACK and they're both right.

I was really hoping to hear from dudes who have, like, listened to a lot of high end esoteric shyza AND these PPIs and have an opinion about how they compared.

But thanks for the input, whatever you have to offer is kewl with me..
