anyone of you guys had the experience of trying either amps? if so, what would you use for the subs, regardless of what type of subs. just want to find out which one has more clean brute force.

i love those art amps, the sound quality is nothing like what they make now. nowadays, they have these cheapo amps with 2000 watts priced at 300 dollars, and the quality is crap, and the funny is some ppl think thats great, till they really hear real spl quality.

I have had a 2100HCCA for the last 10 years and it is the pride of my amp collection. I'm looking for another actually.

The two have very different applications so the subs do matter. Both are very power hungry being Class A/B amps so plan on having a small nuke plant to give them the current they want. Two batteries and a 195 amp alt weren't enough to keep the lights from dimming at moderate volume in my old truck with the one 2100 wired to 2 ohms.

With the wide availability of much more efficient amps, I'm wondering why you would want to go out to find one of these amps and take a chance on the condition that it is in and come in knowing that it is going to take a lot of money to get your electrical system up to snuff to supprot one of these beasts. The only reason I'm still using mine is that I have it, though I think I'm about to replace it with something a bit less hungry.

On the flip side of that, I've been using 3 PPI Art Series amps, (2x A600.2, 1x A600), and a little PPI Sedona series (50x2) for almost 10 years now, and I love them. I'm always in the market for more Art Series amps in good condition. If you don't go with this 1200.2, if it's still available at a fair price, I may be interested.
