They are nice SQ drivers, and rather cheap. They don't get to loud. I would suggest 2 sealed to the recommended specs.

Also there are many others out there. Fi Q. Soundsplinter RL-p. SSA Icon. RE Se. All of those I just mentioned you could find right around the $200 range for a nice used one. Maybe less. As far as amps you could find any 1000w amp out there for around $200 as well.

I use the PA MOFO line amps. They are cheap and give decent power. I would go with the 4000/d1 line for the 2 12"s. here is a good retailer for them

powerbass amps do over rated so yes they r goofd because ive owned two. but as far as there subs, they are not as good

I'm pretty sold on the MB Quart sub with dual 2 ohm voice coils.

Now I have to decide on an amp...

The Kenwood KAC-7204 seems pretty awesome - it's $129 and is 500W bridged at 4ohm.

The Hifonics BXi608 looks pretty awesome as well, but I'm always wary of fleabay...

Then there's the enclosure.... sealed / ported? I have a big trunk so I don't mind losing some space.. Suggestions?

the re and the hifonics amps are both from ikesound.com you can just go to their site if you dont want to do it through ebay.

NEVER port MB Quart subs. They sound like shit. That may have changed with the new ones I suggested. But my sub sure didn't like it. they will go low as hell sealed when you give them a little more space. (mine was 1.5cuft suggested I gave it 1.9cuft before displacement)

PA MOFO amps will give you better bang for buck than those other amps your talking about. Just knock off about 20% from the rms that you see on the site.

This is with the $40 dollar 250 watt PB subs, 2 12's in the trunk with the back seat down. They usually hit harder than they were that day. I didn't have time to tune that set up. 142.1 Term-lab. The last 5 comps I was at they got me 3 firsts and a second.

Just because they are cheap doesn't mean they are junk.

I've had those same subs for nearly a year pushing nearly twice rms to them daily.

As far as that amp goes I bought one for a friend as a gift and I payed 79$ for it From Yonies online.

Here is the Usaci trophy I got with that pic. Go look at usaci state records and 0-600 stock class state spl record and see the numbers and name match Loud isn't hard, small box more power and let it wang lol. PS 12's I over payed for them since I got them at a shop. 99 bucks for both.
