Sold Powerbass Extreme 15" SQL Sub *CHEAP*

This PBX is such a monster. It gets loud and sounds good.

I had it in a 4.5 cube box tuned to about 32hz. I had a Earthquake PHD2 on each coil (dual 1 ohm coils) -- that's 2KW watts per coil.

It never smelled bad or anything...I'm really impressed with its powerhandling.

I've had a MK1 Brahma (still have and may put that up F.S. as well), RE HC, Shocker Extreme, DD 9515c all in this same box/same or similar amp combo -- my only amp is a Concept CC-D2400a.

I'd rank the subs in this SQ order:

1) Brahma 2) PBX 3) RE HC 4) DD

As for SQL:

1) PBX 2) Brahma 3) DD 4) Shocker -- don't know why the HC was never really loud to me...

The only thing wrong with the PBX is the surround started to separate from the cone...so I glued it back together...it plays fine....

I can post pics if there's interest...him me up as well if you're interested in the Brahma....

P.S. I had an EPIC-150 and this thing was pegging 147-8 on music...

P.P.S I'm selling because I have 3 15s right now and I actually want to try a different setup (got a RAV4 now instead of sedan)

I am running 3 of those PBX subs in my silverado, they're dual 1ohm, and I have them at 1.5ohm on my Orion 2100 HCCA, and I swear, they beat like CRAZY.... I got 2 for $200 and 1 I paid $150. I will eventually have 6. So, if you still have this one, when I got the extra money, I will get it from you. These subs are scattered, LMAO. 1 from you, 1 from Rob, 1 from Harold, good god this is nuts.

Yep it sure is LOUD...can you post what you think of it's SQ compared to other subs you've heard?

C'mon people...this is a great deal for such a loud sub...if I get no bites, I'm just going to keep it as a toy...

I ran the 12" version in a 1.8 net cube sealed box. I had the dual 1 ohm version, wired in series for a 2 ohm load. I was sending it 800wrms with my DEI 1100D. The SQ was supprising for this SPL based sub. It had very good low-end extension, and it hit the notes very crisply. I never got it metered, though.

IMO, you can't get a better sub for the money. I spent $160 for my 12.

Dang $160 is cheap for a 12 but $150 is CHEAPer for a 15

But yeah your setup sounds very nice...Did you ever try it ported? Man it really hits then!!!

heard 2 pbx 15's (cant remember the brand of amps to save my life). Each were getting about 1200w i think. box was tuned to like 35Hz i think. 2004 Explorer. and yes, excellently loud. didnt sound half bad either. i wanna say he did right around 150dB with them. wish i remembered more specific details, it was a while ago...but i do recall them wanging hard.....bump for a nice price man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
