Power light on amp is ON, with car OFF

I have an o/s PPI art series amp, i have had for years.....just ot it re-installed today and its draining the battery with the car off....the power light in on...any ideas?

wire it into your ignition so it comes on and off with your key

or put it on a switch.

Yeah, that thin blue wire running from your amp needs to be wired to the acc wire for your ignition so that it only comes on with the car running or the key in acc. Find where that wire is connected and rewire it.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM I USUALLY TAKE THE BIG FUSE FROM UNDER NEATH THE HOOD IF I DONT USE IT FOR a lng time

sounds like the remote wire to me, should be wired to your decks, amp or remote connection.

Wire the remote wire to your head unit's acc. wire, not constant 12v

my wife has a JVC deck that you cant turn the clock on/off when the car is running so essentially the power on the unit is constantly "on"even tho the unit is not "on". she has the same problem but when you turn the vehicle off, the light goes out.
