Power handling on an RE SE 12

I have never really messed with RE subs so i was wondering if my gf's RE SE would handle a MTX 801D i know the RMS is 600 on the SE so i was curious if it would be too much or do i really have nothing to worry about. The amp would be wired to 2 ohms so it puts out about 800 watts and i dont want to blow it up or anything before i get it in her car. It will either be going in a ported box or sealed box if that matter most likely it will be sealed for the time being thanks guys

If treated correctly, then it will handle it. It would also probably be able to handle more power in a sealed box because they tend to be less efficient.

i say no more than 700watts daily, wit that amp u should be fine

they put out a little more than 800 w also...check your birthsheet...mine was about 941 IIRC

awesome thanks for the replys i put it sealed and it sounds nice and yeah i know the amp tends to be a little tricky lol i had it on my 9500 but this re is very temporary till my gf gets a box or should i say i can get a box for her then i'll put both 9500's back in lol thanks again
