power connections

hey there, im pretty new to this, but my amp has three power connections

batt, rem, and grd obviously batt and grd are battery and ground but what does rem connect to?

any help is much appreciated

rem connects to the remote wire from your HU, it basically tells your amp to turn on

aight, thanks. what would the wire on the hu be marked as? would it SAY rem?

all my wires are marked, so im just hoping maybe ill get lucky and it would be marked so i can be lazy 0

it should say something like rem, remote, remote system control

usually its blue or blue and white
