ok i have 2 infinity kappa perfect 12d vq's dvc 4ohm. and 400rms 1600watt max. well i blew my last amp up soundstormlaboratories f2800. and i found 2 power acoustik gothic series amp for sale.... im pretty sure its that model number ^^^in the title but i havent emailed the guy yet. dont want to bother him unless im really interested. well hes got 2 for about 120 a peice im sure i could talk him down. now would this be an ok amp for my subs. 1200 watts bridged max

# 2 x 250 watts into 4 ohms RMS, 2 x 300 watts into 2 ohms RMS. id bridge each amp to 1 sub. anyone ever used these amps befor. onlything im worried about them are getting hot. thats what happened to my last one. these doesnt really look like they got fans in them but i got lots of computer fans around so that i could rig it up to help push are by the. so what do yall think yay or nay and just keep saving for a class D amp?

The Gothic series from PA is a solid budget amp. However you wont be running the PA amps mono into your subs. The subs are dual 4ohm which yields a 2ohm or 8ohm load. The PA amp wont go below 4ohms mono. 8ohms would only give you 250-300w per sub. One of theose amps would push about 250 per sub daily driving if you ran it stereo.

I have a PA OV2-1200, and I ran it bridged at 2 ohm DD for 2 months with no ill effects on the amp. They are very hardy amplifiers, their huge footprint makes for some insane heat dispersion. You could bridge them at 2 ohm no problem, just don't go gain happy. You'll be getting more than 600 watts out of each at that impedance, maybe 100 or 200 watts more.

yeah well im only going for SQ so its not like i wanna be maxing these amps out. so maybe i should just get these 2 amps 200 for both isnt a bad deal is it?
