I may possibly be purchasing a RE MT to match up w/ my PA3000db

Some people are saying w/ imp rise and what not it should handle it

Others are saying its too risky and has a good chance of frying the amp

Please, make your vote yes or no. Remember.

This is DAILY!!

impedance rise is fine and good, but if you assume the impedance rise will make up for the fact that the amp is disigned to run at no lower than 1 ohm nom. -- you're also assuming the designer hasn't already allowed for impedance rise at 1 ohm.

Will it work?

Maybe.

If it doesn't you can't blame the amp.

i had 2 of them running .7 daily never had a problem
had 2 A3000s and 2 MTs and it went like that for a while, almost a year i think
X 1000

I ran mine at the same impedance and never had a problem.

To the Original Poster, you'll probably only see a .7 impedance when the woofer is not doing anything other than sitting there. When music is playing and the coil heats up you're going to have impedance rise fairly significantly.
