what amp should i buy?

power accoustic ov1-4000d - 2200 rms(1200 real) / $246 = 08.94 WpD

power accoustic ov1-3000d - 1700 rms(1000 real) / $215 = 07.91 WpD

power accoustic ps1-3000d - 1700 rms(1000 real) / $210 = 08.10 WpD

I used 3200 rms, as rated by maufacturer. 10.92*293=3200

real power of power accoustic calculated (rated by maufacturer) * 0.56

based on test of ps1-3000d - real power less than 1000 watt. (with 14.4V)

get the db series 3000.

do you means A3000DB? it cost $300

lowest WpD value.

do you think it will better that ov1-5500d?

power accoustic very good for it price.

my front amp rated 450x2 at 4 ohms - it plays very good on 150rms speakers

220x2 at 4 ohms not provide enough power for speakers.

Got it... Sorry.. Didn't understand what you were doing right away... But thats not right... it is not $10.92 per watt.......... more like $.099 .... so basically 10 cents..

Also I would like to SEE where you got the ideas for those numbers... I hardly believe that they over rate there amps almost 200%

They have 5*30A(i dont renember exactly) fuses in 5500d

150A*14.4=2160 watt but it rates 3200 watt.

2160*85%(its class D)=1836 output

i dont remember where i read about 3000d test and less that 1000 real output, but its look likely

Yes.. But fuse ratings can't be completely accurate... Why don't PA amps come w/ birth sheets? Or do only "high end" companies do those?.........

what is birth sheets? some certificates about RMS like kiker sx have?

i dont have in my amps, maybe its only for D class.

fuse rating not complete accurate, it shows only top limit.

anyway, my question was "what amp best for just listening?" i do not want pay more than its really needed.
