So, on Tuesday I found out that my mother had suddenly passed away without any warning. As if all of this hasn't been difficult enough for me, I'm now staring down a 6,000 dollar funeral bill. Her life insurance isn't going to come through for along time because the cause of death is unknown. That is if the insurance even comes in at all. So me and my father have begun looking at what we can possibly sell, and as much as I don't want to part with my only hobby for now, I'm starting to consider selling my system. I'd say I have about 1500 in it, and I know if I sell it out right I wont get anywhere near that amount.

So I'm thinking about trying to setup some kind of raffle or something to maybe bring in more money than what I could if I sold them outright. Like 10 dollar tickets, and at the end of the time period, if its more than the market value of the items I'll draw a ticket for each item. If its way below what I would get for selling them I'd just refund everyone who participated.

Is anything like this even allowed here? Good Idea? Bad? Stick to ebay? Just looking for opinions. I'm stuck right now.

Items would be: Mint JL 1000/1v2, 300/2, (2) 13.5 w6v2's. CDT m6's with brax tweet setup and crossovers. All in really good condition cosmetically and functionally.

Please no flaming. I'd document everything of course and try and make it seem as honest as possible (copy of paper obituary, pictures, etc)

Sorry for your loss bro. My dad passed away just a bit over a month ago so I know exactly what you're going through. Be prepared for alot of rude comments from those who don't believe you though.
Oh, and for those of you who thought I was lying, I have pics of my father at the funeral!
sorry for your loss too bro. thats cold if no one believed you... i dont understand how people could question something like that... why would anyone wanna lie about something like that...
