POrts outside?

I was thinkin if it was in a truck car,run the ports up into the s**t i dunno what to call it, but thew lil back dash thing, so that the air could enter the cab rather that into the trunk.
You mean like this? http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=133621

Anyways, as said....no the port does not have to be in the enclosure. You can have part or all of the port outside of the enclosure....just remember that to take it into consideration when designing the enclosure as it will affect the net internal volume.
