Ported Sundown SA-8 or Skar MA-8 in place of my sealed Mmats P3 12?

Hey Guys,

As the title kinda says I am curious about swapping my sealed Mmats P3 12" setup with a single ported 8". I would like to save a little more space in my Jeep Wrangler 2dr and a high power/quality ported 8" is about half of the volume. Can I achieve equal or better sound to the current Mmats sealed 12? Below are some specs of the current set up and the recommended setup for the 8's.

Mmats P3.0 12" DVC to 2ohm (750rms)

Sealed box 1.30cuFT after displacement

AMP: MTX Thunder 801D 450rms @ 2ohm

Possible 8's: (other suggestions welcomed)

Sundown SA-8v2 (600 rms) rec ported (0.5 to 0.75 cuFT 35hz)

Skar MA-8 (400 rms) rec ported (0.5 to 0.75 cuft @ 34HZ)

So what do you guys think?

you'll probably notice some tighter hitting bass with the 8 being that it doesn't "flop around" (and i use that term loosely) like a 12 does.. they're really good for rock music i've noticed for bass drums, bass lines, etc...

also i'd choose the ported SA8 over the Skar 8
