Ported Fiberglass box??

I was offered a sponsorship that would involve a ported fiberglass box. My question is will this sound as good as my current box? I have a 12" XXX in a 2.5 cu ft box tuned to 32 hz. The box was built by Mr. Marv and it sounds great. I haven't ever really heard any fiberglass setups, I just don't want to lose anything!!

its all really dependent on the build, fiberglass enclosure sound just as good as an mdf enclosure. build it solid and it wont fall apart.

Its a reputable company. I just have never heard a fiberglass ported enclosure, I don't want to down grade. I know it will look nice but I don't want to sacrifice the tunes lol.

just build a mdf enclosure and fiberglass over it. you wont even need any fiberglass, just resined fleece, and its alot less work.

I wouldn't be building it, it's a sponsorship deal. I just wanted to make sure that I would not lose anything. I know they do good work, I just wasn't sure how a ported fiberglass box would sound.

and i have built plenty of vented FG enclosures. they sound fine, no diff from a plain mdf box.

no idea on the ports...but find volume using packing peanuts. make a cardboard box that is 1ft^3.fill it with them and keep dumping until the enclosure is full.
