Simpletech signature mini portable high speed usb 2.0 drive. 500gb and doesn't require an ac adapter for power (though there is an ac input on the side). Color is "dark roasted" and it is actually rubber coated so you don't have to worry about it sliding off of your desk if you bump it.

I actually bought 5 of these so that I could get a discount on the price. I'm keeping two, sold one already, and have two left. They are brand new and you will not find a lower price anywhere. If you do, pm me (or post; I don't give a sht) the link and I'll see what I can do about going slightly lower on the price. When searching though, remember, these are the 2.5" version and not the 3.5" ones.

$140 SHIPPED

I accept Paypal, don't charge the fee, and will ship it via priority mail w/ delivery confirmation. I will only keep this post up for a day or so and then they're going on ebay so act fast if you want one - or both.

how reliable is this brand or product? since its new, how many years of warranty?
It's normally 3 years but if Simpletech requires a receipt for warranty work, you're out of luck since it won't come with one.

i dont see the point in paying more for a 2.5" drive over a 3.5" drive when they are external.
If you're simply going to keep it on your desk, then I agree. However, if it's a drive that you're going to be taking with you occasionally (or often) then I think it's worth the extra cost... and how about the fact that it doesn't require an ac adapter like ALL 3.5" external drives do - meaning that you can use it with your laptop on the go? That's a HUGE bonus for some people (like myself). Another thing that you're overlooking is that the drive inside THIS enclosure is the largest 2.5" currently available and can be removed and used in other devices that take 2.5" sata drives. Now, the actual drive is slightly thicker then other drives so you won't be able to use it in everything that takes a 2.5" drive but, if it doesn't fit your device, you can always pop it back in it's enclosure and use it like that.
