Port and Sub placement

Guys, I have seen a lot of guys here face the sub up and the port to the rear or front of the car. I have always faced the port and the subwoofer on the same side. I want to run a 15" and port it in my car now but I dont have 15" in height. How will this work in my trunk? Thanks

Sub up, port facing the rear of your vehicle - - - a trunk car leaves you limited options.

what would you tune the 15 to in the trunk? It recommends like 35hz/

It really depends on the woofer, but more than anything it depends on your personal tastes.

What do you want? More or less to pick up the lower notes, for say strictly hip hop/rap/r and b or do you listen to more of a metal, some rap, what?

mostly rap some rock. I would like the best of both worlds being loud. I figure the 15 will be pretty low better than the 10's I was looking at.

ive always liked sub back port back

OP wants to run a 15, and has less than 15" of height in the trunk.
