Polyfil

I was going to build two boxes as 32x11x16 with a slot port being 9.5inch in.. should be tuned to about 37.0636 hz (the measurements I gave earlier where a lil short of the actual size as I need wiggle room to get spare tire out when needed)

its not an L port, its a slot port. I used RE's L-Ported Speaker Box Calculator and just left the L entry as a 0.. it shows a box made of 3/4 MDF measures as 32x11x16 9.5 port height Length 12.75 would be 37.0636127516055 hz lol

I dont think I was too clear in my earlier posts, sorry.. Ive been tired today *yawn*

ok sounds like the port is 2.5X9.5 and 12.75 long ,,, if its right thats just shy of a 4" port per sub,, like i said you can give it a shot, just pay attention to the subs so you dont kill them

I'll probably end up doing that then, I will be pushing 4000RMS off of 2 Soundstream 2000D's so I guess I should start with 1/4 gain and see how they react before pushing them to the limit lol.

Polyfill lowers the tuning of a vented enclosure a little bit. Also, according to a Kicker installation manual I read once, adding polyfill to a vented box slightly decreases efficiency, but smooooths out the sound.

Also, I don't know if anyone mentioned this but you can get polyfill in sheets, but still loose enough, and glue or staple it to the sides. I did it with my JL 12W6v2 and it sounded so smooth and none of the polyfill came out.
