I have a 12" W6 in a sealed box. The cubic feet reccomended is about 1.25 according to JL. Mine has about 1.15. Will adding poly fill help me out too much? Is it worth the hassle?

I think i am going to end up building a ported box for it eventually anyways, I am not to impressed with the amount of output from it right now and i have heard that in the right box, it can be louder and still sound very good.

yes i use it in all my sealed boxes gives you a much better sound also.
Cool, thats what I was hoping. I am pretty under impressed with my W6 as of now. Part of that may be the fact that I went the lazy route and put it in a box a little too small.......

How much do you use?

Yo OP, I would use some poly fill for the box you have since its smaller than JL specs. Don't get it in your head that the w6 bill bump super hard though, jl makes sq subs so if your after spl look into another sub, it will sound good though.

I prefer to use the filling from adult diapers.

It's kind of embaressing buying them from the local grocery store.

but the improvement in sound quality is worth it.

If you don't use all of the diapers you can get your girlfriend to wear them and pee in them.. if you're into that sort of thing..
