polly fill

There are two different types of poly that people put in their enclosures and each has its own purpose and method of installation. Bulk poly fill is simply stuffed in the box and makes the box seem bigger. Other than keeping it out of the venting of the sub there are no special considerations. The stuff actually holds together pretty well and stays where you put it in a sealed box. Make a little nest for the sub when you stuff each chamber, you want to fill the chamber but not overly compress the stuffing.

The other kind is poly batting. That is the kind that you affix to the sides of the box with adhesive or staples. It is meant to reduce resonance within the box.

You don't HAVE to glue it, as we said....but its a good idea, imho. If you don't use spray adhesive (what I use), you can get an all purpose cement. In Walmart, I've found this cement in the same isle as the caulking and wood glues. It looks like rubber cement, and you can paint it on with a brush or roller.

Okay, stop asking for advice and not using it. Everyone told you what you should do, but you keep saying you're going to do what you want and are looking for someone to tell you to do that.

Stuff the **** out of your box and don't use any glue. Now get to it.

I just built a box using fiberglass fill found at Home Depot. What I did was rip them into the biggest single sections I can and spray 3m super 77 on the walls then mount them up. Hope this helps.
