you could make it that when someone gets something free, they cannot try for another free item for 2 weeks.....that would give others plenty of time to get stuff on the thread before they return for more.....

just thinking out loud.....it'll all be hard to figure out no matter how its done....

Well...Yes to the freebie thread...but no replies from "buyers" (for lack of better words)...just people offering what they have. Let the "buyers" work everything out via PM.

Then edit there post as needed...

I say yes, I liked the last one we had, but people kept taking things they didn't absolutely need, they just had the money to pay for the shipping, so they wanted it.

Well everyone is complaining about people abusing the system...so why don't we make someone the head of it...as in everyone submits what they have to that one member, that member then decides who gets what...of course first come first served...as long as there isn't abuse. He then refers the "buyer" to the donating member.

the mods cant/dont even moderate the site well enough as it is to handle a free thread that would need heavy constant moderation. rather then a point/time system, a valued point system would work better... i mean say someone got a 6inch piece of 1/0 they needed and then no one wanted a ring terminal that was free but the person couldnt get it cause their points for the two weeks were gone etc... but then again i am one of the two voted that said no just simply cause if you wanna give stuff away then post an ad up for free in the classified section otherwise it wont really be free as pointed will end up as money and it will all un ravel again....
