Politics

Indeed. However. Dude came into his presidency in a very bad time. I think that regardless of what happenes in the next four years, he is going to get a bad wrap regardless of the long term benefits or detriments of his adminstrations policy. In reality a president only has a limited amount of power and is a puppet for lots of other interests.

I think he will suffer the Hoover syndrome. Hoover was an extremely respected and influential politician that did a great deal of good in his endeavors before his presidency. Because he happened to be commander in chief during the depression, the anger and frustration of the American people were directed at him, even though the events leading up to the problem had nothing to do with him and all his previous moves and actions as a politician had been very helpful to the country.

It is a damed if you damed if you dont problem. Had McCain been elected i think people would feel the same way about him right now.

Again, the presidents power is very limited if you look at it from the big picture. The executive office is one of the best scapegoats for very deep problems and decisions that others in government have much more control over.

I don't think it was on McCain's agenda to spend over 2 trillion dollars in 50 days. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I like how your picture depicts the economy at some high point and then it falls. Economy was f'd up way before Obama. Should've started in the lower part and went into negative. Either way the guy is president for at least 4 years and this is only 50 days. Give the man some time before making your judgements.

If Bush did what Obama did, none of you would be saying give him some time.

And yes, I would dislike Bush as much as Obama if he did was Obama has.

I like how you are color blind.

It shows bush's term in green, falling well before Obama gets it (in red) and then it continues to fall

Any economic policy change takes a long time to take place (I can't remember the exact number, but I believe it is 6 months). To say the economy is tanking right now due to what Obama's done in office in less than two months would be ludicrous.
