Plexiglass/Lexan inserts in a sub box

I will be building a sub box with two windows in it so you can see the amps mounted behind the box. I have three questions, 1: Should I use plexi or Lexan,2: How thick should either be and 3: How do I go about attaching said panels to the MDF?
