Please tell me I didn't make a mistake. Are the lower series of JL Audio RCAs good?

Well I got a pretty good deal on the JL Audio RCAs from the individual that got me the equipment. I really didn't want to pay for the higher end stuff as he told me I'm looking at $45 each on a set of 2 channel RCAs and that I would need 3 sets because the guy he gets them from didn't have the 4 channel higher series in stock.

Anyhow, so he told me to just get the lower series (they only offer 2) and that I'll be fine. He said I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. I got the 2 channel for $20 and the 4 channel for $30. Is that a fair price for the JL Audio lower series RCAs? How do they compare to other RCAs? I hope I made a good decision.

By the way, I went with JL Audio because I decided to do this at the last minute and I want start and finish my system this weekend and there's no way I could order and have them by tomorrow.

I know they'll get the job done, but are the lower series still comparable to let's say the higher end of Stinger's, Kicker's, Monster's, KnuKonceptz, etc. RCAs?

Monster Cable is some of the most overpriced cabling (whether it be power cable, speaker wire, interconnects, doesn't matter) available.

Is it good cabling?

Yes.

Is it worth the retail pricing to be found at their vendors' locations?

No, not in my book. Not on any given day.

In my experience you're not going to be able to detect an audible difference between a $20 set of interconnects as compared to a $200 set so I'd say you'll be just fine.

It'l be fine. As stated earlier, chances are you'll never notice a difference between the two.

I'm not sure what you consider a high quality system, but my system includes:

JL Audio 1000/1

(3) JL Audio 10W3V3

JL Audio 500/1

Focal 165V2S

Focal 130CV1

When the funds become available, I'll probably sell the the 300/4, the components, and coaxles and go with the higher end stuff.

How much does it normally go for? Most shops around here all sell stinger, jl, and lightning audio. I saw some moster rca's at a wholesale place a couple weeks ago going for $20 cdn for the 17ft iirc. I have heard that they are good, and was going to pick some up when i was there, but ended up getting a couple housewares(pots pans) instead for a super price. Maybe i'll go back and pick them up. got to be better than the low end stinger ones i run now. i think they are drone series and like 6 or 7 years old.
