Hello everyone, To be upfront and honest with everyone i signed up just to get help. I did look through the forum to be sure this was the right place to post this. Hopefully i was correct. My wife has a 2002 grand am gt with the momsoon sound system. Her monsoon system was locked out so we bought her a new HU. We then found out her stock monsoon speakers were blown. So we went to walmart and just bought a pait of Sony Xplods. The Monsoon has a dual +/- wires that run into a clip connecting it to the amp. The Xplods do not. So i ran both positive wires to the positive ends and negative to the negative ends, tested it and it put out sound so i put her speakers in like that. Whenever the Xplods try to put out bass they crackle horribly. The speakers themselves do put out audio. I checked everything on the HU and turned the loudness option off and the equalizer set to vocal etc etc. However her car has no bass at all. As i said, when it tries to hit the speakers crackle. What is causing this and how can i fix it? I appreciate any help with this. Thank you, Jason
