as i understand it from this site when i set my gains and what not my HU should be set to Bass 0 and Sub 0.

If that is the case wtf is the point of having sub control in a head unit?

i will never need to turn my Sub off completely but because i occasionally have the wife and kids in the car i need the ability to turn the amount of bass down significantly and i would rather not have to set my d4mn gains every 3 days.

you set your sub level (on hu) to highest possible and your bass, bass boost, etc to 0. then use your dmm to set the gains. you can then lower your hu subwoofer levels as you see fit afterwards.

wow ive always did it the other way, that why my setups usually ****. and there is not one good ground in my truck either just bunk
^This I guess once my amp comes in tomorrow I'll set it with my sublevel at max haha no wonder I needed to turn the amp most of the way up to get to the required number on my DMM.
