Please advise -Best 8" subwoofer???

Who makes the tightest hitting 8" sub? I have heard to look at the Image Dynamics brand as well as JL Audio. Some owners of these and there opionions would be appreciated. 10" subs are out of the question. Please advise on 8" subs and what you think. Thanks

i would check out the dd 8". www.ddaudio.com the rest of their woofers get really loud, so i assume this one follows suit. i dont know anyone that runs them though. for a great price, the re 8" is $56 shipped. www.reaudio.com

ARC has just relased an 8" available too that is an improved version of the IDQ

I haven't had a chance to hear the DD or the Crystal 8, but a list of very solidly built 8s with great performance (in the order I prefer them) is the JL Audio 8W7, Adire Audio Koda 8, and the Resonant Engineering 8. There are also plenty of other very nice 8s out there (Image Dynamics ID8v3 for example) but those I feel offer the best performance for the money (and while the JL is very expensive, it certainly is worth it).
