Does anyone know what the continuous wattage needed for the PS2 and Xbox game consoles? I am looking to use them in the car, but I need to know the specs, so I can get the right power inverter.

78 watts really? on the back of all the invertor marketing material they usually say 25watts.

and i currently only have a 75watt invertor powering my ps2.. and thats 75watts max...

i was gonna buy a 90w inverter and the guy told me i should go a lil higher to be safe... i ended up going with a 400w unit..nice part is that it had terminals to get power directly from battery.

The inverter I just purchased is 100w. And when I was looking @ most of the higher wattage inverter they have got the wire terminal clamps....are you able to drive with the PS2 & inverter powered on, when the car is running? Just curious...

YUP ..iv'e actually run the ps2 simulataneously with my laptop with car running without a problem. i have 8 gauge wire running from the battery to the inverter and i grounded it with 8 gauge wire as well.

Well the inverter I got, is just the one that plugs into your cigarette lighter...no wire clamps to the battery? Will this still work out fine, to run the PS2 to a small portable DVD player also plugged into the cig ligher (i have 2 cig lighters)?
