Plasma tv's and Video games

If you buy plasma, DO NOT buy a cheap one!

A friend has a cheap plasma and I can see ghosting even when flipping through channels!

I use my 42" plasma for games, no burn in here.

plasma sucks, get lcd. I have a 52 inch lcd and it does wonders. Wouldn't trade it for anything right now

I wouldn't do it, most games will have images that don't change often, and those will burn into the screen

As stated previously, not much of an issue with new plasmas

you literraly have to play HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS for it to burn into the screen, unless you are a halo nut that plays days on end, you'll be fine, even if you have to leave the game on pause just turn the tv off while you leave it.

plasma and lcd basically are the same. Only difference is the blacks are a bit brighter on the plasmas. Your safe with an lcd, but if you get a plasma you are risking buying another one down the road

why because they are both thin panels? otherwise they are nothing alike

you can still burn in a plasma, but these days it takes much longer to do so

Dont plasma use more energy? Thats one of the reasons why i bought an lcd and plus older plasmas have burn ins. Interesting that the new gen. plasmas don't have burn-ins. Do they still use a lot energy compared to lcd?

alot of plasma have the energy saver logo on them now ..

plasma usually use a lot more power, plus their heavier. They usually have better blacks, but the lcd has brighter whites.
