Plasma tv's and Video games

you literraly have to play HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS for it to burn into the screen, unless you are a halo nut that plays days on end, you'll be fine, even if you have to leave the game on pause just turn the tv off while you leave it.

not true, my tv burned after 2 hours because the dashboard was left on.

You'd love a Plasma more then. They have deeper blacks, whiter whites and arw overall better.

I have both, a 52" Plasma in the living room and a 42" LCD in my bedroom and the Plasma doesn't even compare to the LCD. When I bought the Plasma I didn't believe how not having a direct viewing angle would affect it and the picture itself isn't anywhere near as bright. I'll be sticking with LCD's from now on...

Jesus Endofdays, please do us all a favor and endtyourlife already!

The newer Plasmas don't have burn in anymore. They had so many problems from the older ones, that they have taken care of it. My friends Panasonic has had a game left on for hours upon hours and was perfectly fine. It is a newer Panasonic though.

My LCD's I wouldn't trade for nothing though and my one has as good of Blacks as any Plasma out there. '

There is good and bad with both kinds, simple as that. They have narrowed it down a lot though.

iirc newer plasmas don't have burn in anymore??????
DING. It has been alleviated. You would have to leave an image on for a retarded amount of time. CRT was susceptible to this too, yet we all played our nintendo on one. I play my N64 on my plasma all the time. I prefer a plasma image over any LCD I have seen.

Guitar hero... 1 song... any part of the screen that didn't move was visible for 2 hours after we turned the tv off, brand new 50" Samsung plasma

If you wanna game, get an LCD
