Plasma TV no worky

Hauled home an older Gateway 42" Plasma TV today from work, they were gettin rid of it because it didnt work. I had no idea what didn't work on it, but I said I would take it.

When I turn it on, all I get is a black picture with some blue and red pixels illuminated. Audio works perfect though!

I am wondering what I could expect for a repair bill on it, just in general?

from my understanding plasma screen cant be repaired once they **** up its the end of the road for them

Sounds like the video board is dead.

You can fix anything.. The problem is how much will it cost you? Will it be worth it?

Edit: nm they say Plasmas are "typically" not repaired because of the plasma part of the tv being difficult to deal with..

It's just the controller board. Shouldn't be that much.
