Pissed about PPI PCX 2200

I have all PPI in both of my vehicles. All of them have designed and handcrafted in the USA on them accept a PCX 2200 that I bought off of craigslist for almost nothing. The model PCX 2200 that I have stated on the front of the power and ground plugs designed and engineered in the USA. The other PCX 2200 that is in my Z has designed and handcrafted in the USA on it. I know DEI took them over in 11/01 but obviously kept on making that same model but outsourced their manufacturing to Korea. Are there 2 different models of the PCX 2200? I believe there is. I had a pcx2200 made overseas, them someone posted a pic of a pcx2200 which was made in the USA.

Was the quality the same? I have them both. The handcrafted in USA is phenomenual and will never leave my Z.

Im not sure if they had the same components installed, but mine never had an issue.

they're the same amp, just made in different places. Nothing in the manufacturing process changed except the height of the people building them.

Am I to then assume that the made in Korea PCX series has the same old school quality, engineering, sq and durability that the handcrafted in USA series has. I hate made in Korea amps with a passion.

Made in Korea = best availible these days (unless you buy from hole in the wall US private manufacturers, of which I have heard of a few and heard high quality)

Most amps made after 1995 are made in Korea or Japan, or China.

The PCX is built good just like the older PC class. I have worked on enough to know. No difference in Korea Made PCX vs US (so-called) made PCX.

yea crossfire amps were always korea made and were one of my favorite amps. not real fond of anything after the vr line as of yet.
