Pioneer AVH-X5500 w/ iPhone 5

Anyone using this combo? Does anyone know if the App Radio firmware update on Pioneer's site that supports the iPhone 5 is for this model head unit? The instructions say it is model specific, but the support link on the product info page of the 5500 takes me to that update....been on hold with Pioneer for over 40 minutes.

What was the outcome of your situation? I'm very interested in what happened. As I am also looking to buy the 5500bhs for my iPhone 5 as well. I had a reply back that said all the 2013 are already updated. Was that the verdict? Please reply back to let me know. Thanks so much.
