Pioneer AVH-P4400BH & Android Galaxy Nexus 4.2.2

I have a Galaxy Nexus 4.2.2 which is on the compatibility list for my Pioneer AVH-P4400BH under HML. I am able to connect via Bluetooth however the USB indicates incompatible device. Pioneers website indicates HML, I do not know what this is and how to connect it.I looked it up and it looks like an HDMI connection to a Micro-USB allow I could be looking up the wrong item.

Can anyone tell be how to connect this so my other options work? Also what is HML for Android in regards to my stereo? It seems like such a waste of a stereo not using all the other functionality.

i dont believe that you are going to be able to have full control of the nexus through the usb cable. you might have a chance with a newer pioneer but that model was before android compatibility.

Pioneers site indicated it was compatible with 4.2.2 Galaxy Nexus which is the reason we bought it. There's got to be a way around this. Thanks for the reply.

your trying to mirror? if so you need the new pioneer units such as the x8500, x5500 I believe

Which Pioneer web site were you looking at to get your information?

I looked at the site before i did my other post and did not see any mention of andriod compatability anywhere.
