Ok
I'm not even using RCAs, so I don't think that's that pico issue?

All I have hooked up are the stock speakers to the deck, a steering wheel control module (ASWC), and a USB hard drive.

I did some trouble shooting and if I change my EQ to FLAT, it seems to kill the hiss (unless I REALLY crank it up to like vol 40 on mute/pause, for reference, vol 20 is plenty crazy loud as is for normal listening)

Any ideas?

I updated the original post, if I change the EQ to flat, the hiss (faint white noise) goes away while I have the source muted/paused. My car (2011 Impreza) has a HU Chassis ground as well as a ground that's wired into the wire harness (I'm using both).

Yes, my EQ on CUSTOM1 on the far 2 right treble bands are pretty high. My car does not have a factory built in amp.

I did, and I think it reduced the hiss a bit.

Of course at driving speed, the hiss is drowned out by road noise. And of course if I turn the stereo on (not mute).

I'm wondering if this hiss will still be present once I go with an aftermarket amp (via RCA), instead of the internal amp. My last pioneer deck didn't have this issue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
