Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD Question

I hope someone out there has this double din unit because I have a question. On the back of this units is a USB plug. I want to take a laptop harddrive and hook this up to it. From what I read the headunit shows all your different folders on the harddrive which is nice but is there anyway to shuffle all the music on your harddrive? Also does anyone know the length of the usb cord coming off the back of the unit? Thank you for any help

Hi I have just purchased the same unit and I can tell you that the USB-power supply coming off the unit is less than 500mA. That is lower than most HDD's need. So, the WD Passport I have is not working (trying to run but simply can not). The USB-cable at the back is about 1 foot long, but there is another about 3-foot extender in the set. So I have decided to get a USB Flash drive for all the music and my Divx and the rest for the DVD.
