Pioneer AVH-P4000 DVD probs

I bought one of these units last winter, and I really enjoy it but have one major problem. The system claims to read DivX files and AVI files and practically anything a computer can, however when ever I burn them onto a DVD, I either get an error-2 recognizable format or an error not able to read the disk. I have emailed Pioneer's "customer service department," and was only received automated generalized email response. If anyone has any idea as to what I can do, please let me know.

My cousins Kenwood had a similar problem. he had to hold click on the picture icon to change what the radio what format it was suppose to be reading. i dont know if this will help you since you have a pioneer, but its something you can try.
