Pioneer AVH-2700BS Head unit - USB disks not recognized.

I finished the install of my head unit last night. Everything seems to be working great with the exception of recognizing USB memory sticks. USB is working, it recognizes my Samsung Galaxy S5 and works via USB without issue, also an iPhone no problem. But if I plug a USB stick in, whether it has 1 song or 400, or 1 picture...it will not light up and give me the option to select it. Very troubling. I've formatted them, I've tried about 4 different ones, even one that had music that worked on my Pioneer AVH-270 with no problems. I've tried formatting them as Fat32 and Fat16, but still no luck. Help! lol. Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks.

I just put one in my Mustang and it won't recognize my iPod. Figured it was cause its an older version. Has a tough time connecting via bt as well :/ I'm going to try a USB today and see......

Mine won't recognize my older ipod either. I specifically wanted it for xm and the ipod. I'll probably end up ditching xm since I drive the car only on the weekends now and getting something that will play my ipod. I'll throw the 2700 in the daily. Who knows

Did you hook up the parking brake wire? Looks like I can't do a firmware update via usb without it connected. Wondering if that's the issue.

I have the same deck, it's fukcing garbage. You can boil an egg in the time it takes for the bt to connect (at least when it actually succeeds on connecting), scrolling through songs takes forever, and no sub level adjustment.

During setup you have to choose usb drive to make your usb sticks show up. It is kinda of confusing I know.
So I need to factory reset? Or?

Any idea on a replacement?
Not yet. I'm looking at the ddx373bt right now.

Sub level adjustment is found under "speaker level." You'll see it at the bottom.
