Put the gains on the minimum. Turn the head unit up until you hear a tone change then back down just a bit and set your gains therer.</p><p></p><p>Mine are at 55 of 62 on my DEH 980BT. Many will say these things don't distort until about 60 or 61 of 62.</p></blockquote><p></p>
