I dont believe Ive seen Whips, but overhaulin is deffinently the best. I kinda get sick watchin that show knowing I'll never have a car that cool...unless of course I win the lottery or save money for about 30 years straight...

and there's also one on the history channel, although I don't recall what the name of it is.

but they don't do ANYTHING that's unnecessary. They find someone who had a car when they were younger that they absolutely loved, and they find the same car if possible(through VINS and insurance claims and such) and fix it up. If they can't find the exact same car, they just find the same year and model, and restore it exactly how it was when this owner had it back then.

Lol, my cars that little piece of shit import in my ava...I DID have a '72 Camaro though but it was beyond recognition. Rusted, assload of Firebird replacement parts, almost no badging, and it was an auto. The fact it was auto killed it for me. I was really happy but sad to see it go. Knowing that someone would fix her up nice you know. And, the people who bought it from us had it running in a week or so. I really need to go see it sometime.

but to be fair Reme wants to do the cool fiberglass shit but will won't let him cause he is all caught up in quick turnarounds in such. I liked rides better than all them since they did good shit and had a variety of styles. one episode they would do a 32 ford, the next they would put a GS430 engine in a IS300 then do a car with a killer ice install and cover sema. until the end when they just keep doing classics. My problem with overhaulin is the same they rarely **** with anything that doesn't have a carb. being a 20-something black guy from the south i like the caprice PMR did minus the skate rail (how fun can a straight 5 foot grind be) and i would have tooken out all those lil amps and just ran 2 15's ported in the rear deck (probally rl-ps or older xxx's) and replaced the oxgen tank think with a hidden voodoo vaporizer (skeptikal know what i'm talking bout) and the monte carlo minus the cheetah paint job and the "prince" like interior trick my truck would be cool if they didn't put shit useless for a work vehicle like the truck with air ride for the hispanic truck driver. they should just fix them put a bunch of chromed out stuff on them and a nice paint job and maybe a plasma for the sleeper and a sq oriented system ( it would be kind of stupid to hear the beats from a 18 wheeler from 2 blocks away) since they do spend a large amount of their time in the truck
