my old laptop fell off my bed a couple days ago and the screen shattered on it. So in turn i picked up this.

tis a hella nice laptop for the price, and so far i love it.

ended up being 709 out the door IIRC, but well worth it. My old laptop was an hp iwth a 60 gig hdd and 512 ram, was a complete piece and i paid 600 for it..................

Laptop prices are finally dropping. If you didn't want a wide screen, or at least could settle for a smaller screen you can buy them for half that price.

Bigger screen means better performance? Explain?

I was merely stating that if you really wanted, or needed, a laptop you can get one with similar specs but with a smaller screen for less. The things I need a laptop for don't require a widescreen.
