I don't want to dive into lenses and this point and shoot offered plenty of flexability in a compact package that feels great in my hands.

I want to start getting into pohtography a little more heavily and am deciding between the Canon Rebel XSi or the Nikon D90. I've been doing some research between them but it seems they both have their pros and cons. what would you guys get?

I personally just bought the XSi 450d, and I love it. I got a kit on ebay for pretty cheap, but the lenses it came with are pretty crappy, i bought a nifty fifty off amazon for $80 and have had very good results with it so far.
