I was going to buy some Crystals comps. or Rainbows and some deadner for my truck but recently got a ticket on my motorcycle so have to pay that which is $400 so that leaves me with hardly any cash for some new comps and deadner. I came across this Phoenix Gold set the Phoenix Gold R6.5 (R65) for $35.95 http://www.millionbuy.com/phgr65comp.html

or Phoenix Gold Octane ZR6.5 for $49.99

should I just get one of these two sets or wait and try to save some cash for some Rainbows or Crystals? Thanks

The ZRs are really good for the money, but they can't compare to the Crystals. I doubt they can keep up with ANY of the Rainbows.

The Rs aren't worth your time.

Spend a little more and get the PG RSd 65cs set. ~$70-$85

Purchase: These seem to be on back order everywhere (Sonicelectronics.com, ebay.com, froogle.com) as there is a buzz going around about the comps and the subs as being great sounding and good values. One store, Focus Camera had them in stock the other day and now they are out. So keep checking around.

Here are reviews on the RSd subs. Almost hard to believe.......

The RSd amps seem to be nice as well. I have read some good feedback about the SQ.

Ya, If you can get them, get the RSD comps. 120 RMS rating, and if the midwoofers follow in the footsteps of the 2 older brothers, they have to be amazing per dollar!

My future Sub is an RSD 12 or 10, not sure yet...
