Phoenix area

Why are you moving to Tempe? School? Work? I personally can't deal with the insane urban sprawl that is the phx area even though Tempe does have HW-60, I-10, and the 101 and 202 so close to it.

why are you moving?I'll be in the dorms at ASU in Tempe during the school year so let me know when you get here.
A month, I start January 30th at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. I'll be very close to you....I'm getting an apartment on (around) the ASU campus. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I can't wait to get out there to a much bigger area. I've been in a small town my whole life and I can't stand it.

I'm glad those freeways are close, because my first 15 weeks are in Tempe, and the second 15 weeks are in Gilbert.

The only thing I'm not gonna like is the 1800 mile drive to get there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif.

I researched that school for quite a long time because I was planning to become a recording engineer for the longest time. It is probably one of the best schools west of the Mississippi outside of LA. The cost of living should be cheaper than LA too. The tuition was the main factor when it came to not trying to get a second degree over there.

The 1800 mile drive isn't that bad. There is at least some scenery, and you are moving. Just last weekend I was taking the I-10 north from Tucson and it took 45 minutes to go about 2 miles because of some accident. Just because there is a freeway doesn't mean traffic flows. I have a personal problem with Phoenix even though I have friends up there and visit every few months, but if you stay off the road during the morning and evening commute, it isn't too bad. It is definitly a huge metro area if you count the outskirts like Queen Creek and Avondale.

Phoenix traffic is horrible and the city is massive

I'll manage....summers here are 80-90s with like 100% humidy, so I think I can handle it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
