yes, check out their forums and they said they had multiple problems in the first run. That question is asked alot and the PG techs that mod the forums say that it has to be at least 2 years old to be part of the "bad" batch. I would atleast get one from a authorized dealer. The kicker will put out the most power(1400+) and the Xenon is super over build with lots of head room and is build to be a SQ amp so the choice is yours. SQ or power.

i have the xeon 1200.1 running 3 zr 12dvc pg subs in a ported box. the subs vc are wired series and the subs are peralleled to get 2.6 ohms and let me tell you it hits so hard ive acctually broken a window. i had problems at first with the amp shutting down, but to fix this i went with 1/0 guage wire and a 3 farad cap and have had no problems since. i do suggest getting a pro line driver, it allows your amp to not amplify the the rca signal and it sounds alot clearer the amp runs at decent temp. i replaced my ms2250 with the xeon 1200.1 and am glad i did. i never personnally used the kicker amp but i also havent heard a system as loud as mine in my area so i just stick with what works
