o.k. when you want to go off axil; do you hook up neg to pos, pos to neg on the crossovers? also, do you do this on both sides (left to right) on the frontstage? can you just hook neg to pos, pos to neg from the amp speaker terminals or do you have to do it from the crossvers. also, how will this benefit me. im running cdt es620's up front powered by a dls A3. not running subs now. broke a fuse on a xtant 1000/1 and blew a dls A6

There's no easy answer for phase, because it's so install dependent. One thing that may work in one vehicle may not work in another. It's best to try it both ways and see what sounds better - if it's out of absolute phase, voices will sound muddy, undefined and not be as pinpoint in the soundstage.

what do you mean going both ways? i only like females : ) jk huh, should i switch up the neg to pos to neg from the amp speaker terminals or just from the crossover?

Switching it before the crossover will take the mid and the tweet out of phase at the same time, which may or may not be what you're looking for...best to do it individually.

May not even need it.

what do you think of the cdt es620's? those drivers are so big that my door panels want close all the way

If your HU has time alignment, that is the best way to deal with phasing issues. Being off axis has nothing to do with wiring phase either, pathlength differences does.

i have the alpine 9835, it has time alignment. tried playing with it, didnt make much of a difference. i dont like the way my pasenger side is loud as hell and the driver's side sounds low
